As Chosen To Serve

November 2007 partner update

Pastor Layne

God bless you and we hope this finds you well and that your Thanksgiving was a blessed one.  Over a year ago we asked you to join us in praying for a piece of land for the ministry. Where we can grow without interference from landlords, Government etc. Well guess what? As you were faithful to pray, God is faithful and has provided. We opened escrow with the help from longtime friends of the ministry. It's a great piece of land, 4.3 acres within city limits. The zoning gives us the latitude and it has a building that will work for a season. Within a couple of months we will need to have a "good old barn raising". Please pray for that as well. More praise reports inside.

The end of the year is fast approaching and I ask that you please consider ACTS TRACTS for a place to sow your year end gifts. They are needed more now than ever and are very important to us. Besides reducing your tax burden you will help us to reach millions more.

We appreciate the heart you have for the work God is doing through us and by January 1st we will surpass 160 million witnessing materials supplied freely world-wide.

God bless you

STAFF SPEAKS

Hi,

My name is Darrell, I've been volunteering here at ACTS Tracts since this past summer.  I tried unsuccessfully to find their offices a year ago and soon forgot about them. One of the brothers at my fellowship gave a class on witnessing.   He made extensive use of ACTS materials and I decided to contact them.  I found their place of operations and started to volunteer.  I often use tracts from ACTS when I travel on the county bus system.  I pass them out at the bus stops.  Most people take them but some refuse.  I'm not outgoing by nature and it can be difficult to approach strangers, however, I  remember  the  accounts  of persecution  that our Brothers and Sisters are going through for the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and I suck it up and offer the tracts to as many as the Lord prompts me to.

We are living in the freest nation on earth and if we can't witness now, how will we witness when that freedom is taken away?  The enemies of Christ are on the march and it is our duty to counter them with our prayers and our witness.   I have found that ACTS Tracts is a worthy ministry that gets the most out of every dollar donated by its friends.   By our prayers and support, we are spreading the Gospel, which is our Commission, and our efforts have vast impact not only in the USA but also in other countries while there is still time.  I pray that you will first pray for the spread of the Gospel and those who give all for Christ, and if you can support ACTS with your donations.

May God Bless You!

 Brother Darrell

PRAISE REPORTS

¥    A friend of the ministry, Danny, a Christian film maker, is developing all of our Bible story books onto DVD's. They are professionally animated as well as narrated. These will be great tools to reach additional families with Gods Word using today's technology. You can see "Myrtle" on our website with the others coming soon.

¥    Another dimension of our new property is we will be able to accommodate evangelism workshops. For years we have traveled the country sharing in various churches encouraging the Body to be bold in their faith.

We have been frustrated though because there is not enough time or money to travel to all the churches. Now they will be able to come to us for a day, weekend or more. We will also be in a position to have interns on a full-time basis. We really hope you are as excited about this as we are. If you get in the Hemet area be sure to give us a call or email us so we can plan a visit.

PRAYER REQUESTS

Please pray for the new property. When Layne visited it back in August, he prayed on it and envisioned a sign hanging on the gate that read, Circle L Ranch. The L is for Logos which is Greek for Gods written Word. The circle signifies the completeness of His Word.

> Makes sense because we produce and distribute Gods Word freely world-wide.

> Please pray the House of Luke ministry and it's leadership and their families.

> Please pray for your Pastor and church, and how you can be a blessing to them.

> Please pray for ministry finances. This summer giving was down by 80% and we are scraping the bottom of the barrel, literally. Pray that special gifts will come in soon.

> Please pray for our Troops serving overseas away from family. The personal sacrifices they make help to keep our Nation strong.

> Please pray for your Pastor and church, and how you can be a blessing to them.

And remember, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much". James 5:16

Hello, This is my first time ordering from you. My Neice has ordered from you in the past, and I can't tell you what a blessing that you folks at As Chosen To Serve Ministries have been. Neither my Niece nor I have a lot of money and the gift of free tracts made both of our hearts soar. However, I know that it takes money to make things like this happen, so with this order I will also be sending a donation. Thank you so very much for you faithfulness and dedication to the cause. I pray that God bless your ministry in every area, and that He would bless all those who are involved in it.  Thank you again.  Pat  from Eau Claire, Wi
