Personal Evangelism -P.O.S.T Training Personal Evangelism - P.O.S.T.
Training is taken out of a book written in 1990 by Pastor Layne Livingston. It's about "How To Share Your Faith Anytime, Anywhere and With Anyone". This includes our families, jobs, schools and hometown.
God has opened doors for us to share this 45 minute teaching, and or, 4-hour workshop in many Churches, Retreats and Conferences. It has produced much fruit.
We have seen Churches begin, or further, their
outreach to the local community and beyond, as the "Church Body" comes to realize that it's their responsibility to support their Pastor in reaching the community with the Word of God. Many Christians think
it's only the Pastor's job to do it so they won't have to. Wrong!
All born again believers need to understand the instruction Jesus gives us as written by Dr. Luke in ACTS 1:8. We are given a helper, and
instruction on how to be His witnesses and to spread His message of salvation. He also shows us what sharing our faith really means and how God will use YOU to fulfill the "Great Commission".
It is my
belief that most Believers, if Trained, Equipped and Encouraged to share their faith, will do so.
Also, we have developed a test called S.F.T (sharing your faith test), not to be confused with S.A.T's. It's a
fun, but serious way of looking at the many opportunities we have daily to share our faith, but often do not.
Many Christians believe that sharing their faith means to stand on street corners and passing out
tracts. That is a great way to do so, but there are many other ways as well. Most of us just need to be shown how simple it really is.
It's easy to be bold for Jesus when you are led by the Holy Spirit and
understand that His Word never returns void. Isaiah 55:11. You see, it's not our message that works, but is the message that God allows us to share.

FYI, Pastor Layne and his staff decided not to publish the P.O.S.T. Training Book in it's entirety. Instead they turned it into a workbook
that is given freely to train and encourage others to become Personal Evangelists. Since it is formatted for the workshops/conferences it is given only to those that attend.
