Letters from Banda Banda -di- Mamoso and Bosela Eale
February 27, 2000
Steve,
I thank God for the opportunity he has given to me to communicate to you. Our first Sunday service went on very well. We were more than
fifty people without counting children. Things sound well. We thank God because earlier
on Sunday morning, we were afraid that he may rain. All the service is on
a video tape and I am plaNning to send it to you with the all report.
Greetings to the beloved at CCWC.
Bosela.

Steve,
We thank God for our first day of the open air crusade. The attendance was not bad. We are doing it in the same place where the church
should be planted. Thank you for solving the name issue for the church. Yesterday in our open
air meeting almost 30 people gave their lives to Jesus. Praise God.
(the rest of the message was more personal and left out here)
Yours in Him,
Bosela.

Thank you very much for all kind of encouragement. We are starting our
open air crusade today at 4 p.m. Yesterday's Jesus Film show had a great attendance. I couldn't go up to the end of the
show because of the flu I got. You may receive the report later.

CHURCH-PLANT MOVES FORWARD
From Pastor Steve:
As you know, we are committed to helping a couple of Congolese men begin planting independent churches in the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire). Our church recently sent an official letter to the DRC authorizing Bosela Eale to represent our church there. Banda Banda -di- Mamosa, the other man who will assist Bosela, is still in Kenya trying to raise support so that he can return to the DRC to join Bosela.
Things remain very difficult in the DRC. There are three rebel
groups trying to overthrow the government, and food and other resources are
limited. Fighting is in the north and east, but life is still very difficult in the capital, Kinshasa, where Bosela and his family live.
You may have seen in the news that all of the groups and nations
involved in the war in the DRC met at the United Nations the last week of January.
There is some talk going on about placing UN peace-keeping forces there. That will not solve the problem
long-term, but it would bring an end to
the fighting while they try to work out their differences. I am learning
more about the situation all the time. Suffice it to say that it is very complicated.
If things settle down over the summer, I hope to be able to travel to Kinshasa next August to see Bosela and the others helping him to plant the church there. The vision includes churches in all of the provinces of DRC eventually.
Dear Steve,
Thank you very much for your prayers.
LOOK AT THIS NEXT PART!
We had two Jesus Film shows and it was wonderful. More than 67 people gave their live to Jesus. The last Jesus Film show is today.
Tomorrow we'll
start our open air crusade. Pray for me because I have to preach at the crusade and on Sunday morning service but I got flu
yesterday.
PLEASE PRAY FOR BOSELA AS HE PREACHES FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS AND AS HE LEADS
THIS EFFORT.
All our plans for the openning of the church are going on very well.
Steve, you are very much welcome in the DRC. I will announce your coming in our first Sunday service.
Continue praying for us.
Yours in Him,
Bosela
