A Note from Pastor Keith
October 24, 1999
I crawled
across the barrenness
to You
with my empty cup
uncertain
in asking
any small drop
of refreshment.
If only
I had known You
better
I’d have come
running
with a bucket.
Nancy Spiegelberg
This small poem reminds me of Hebrews 4:15,16, “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses but one who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near to the throne of grace with confidence, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need”.
So often we approach God tentatively when He, like a loving Father, wants us to run to Him to receive His love and grace. May we all run to the Lord this morning with big buckets waiting to be filled by Him.
In His service,
Pastor Keith
