The Women’s Ministry at Calvary Chapel Kansas City seeks to provide opportunity for the women in the body to experience personal spiritual growth, to have a more intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus, to mentor, teach, train, equip, and disciple women to walk in their scriptural role, and to offer outreach for salvation to the unsaved. These opportunities are created through Bible study, prayer, worship, special events, retreats, and times of intimate fellowship. It is the desire of the Women’s Ministry to adhere to the instruction given throughout the Scriptures. As we follow these guidelines, we believe that the Holy Spirit will be manifest in our lives to glorify the Lord in everything we do as a ministry.

Dear Ladies
As winter draws to a conclusion, the Women’s Ministry is making plans for our favorite season of the year, springtime. We have enjoyed sipping hot cocoa by the fireplace, watching the snowfall, and doing our homework from our Bible study book, “Having A Mary Spirit”. But springtime brings a desire to get out and enjoy this beautiful season. What better way is there to enjoy spring than by fellowshipping with your sisters in Christ?
The annual Ladies Tea Party is the perfect event to do just that. Mark your calendars now for a “Tea for Two” on Saturday, April 19th, at 12:00 noon at Lakewood Middle School. This is wonderful time for mothers, daughters, and friends to enjoy an afternoon of “girls only” fellowship and fun. Invitations will be available March 16th and tickets will go on sale March 30th following Sunday morning services. Ladies are $10.00, and daughters (8 and under) are $5.00. The price includes a fantastic lunch of finger sandwiches, scones, fruit, amazing desserts, and bottomless cups of tea (coffee and punch are also served). You will be treated to beautifully set tables of china including teacups and saucers. We will also have a hilarious skit, beautiful worship music, a devotional Bible study, a photo booth and lots of door prizes. Be sure and stop by the Women’s Ministry table to pick up your “Save the Date Card” or ask any questions you may have. We encourage all the ladies to bring a friend to this fantastic springtime event.
Our Bible study, “Having A Mary Spirit” will continue through June 26th on the 2nd and 4th THURSDAY of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the 6th grade POD area at Overland Trail Middle School. You may join us at any time for this very thought provoking study. The books are available at the Calvary Chapel book table for $10.00.
You are also invited to join us twice a month for prayer. We meet at our church office located at 13180 Metcalf in Overland Park on the second floor of the People’s Bank building, Suite 250, at 10:00 a.m. on the 1st and 3rd FRIDAY of each month. It is our desire to pray for revival, the needs of our church, the Kansas City area, the nation, and the world!
