What Is Release Time?
Release Time Bible Education is a nationwide program that has been established where a designated time has been set aside during the school day to attend Bible instruction. Release Time is the only program available to instruct public school students using the Bible in a devotional manner. Release Time provides a unique opportunity of allowing students to learn about God during the school day.
Who Will Be Teaching Release Time?
Release Time here at Landers Elementary School is taught by representatives of Calvary Chapel Landers and not the school district. Only qualified, Bible savvy
instructors will be teaching the children.
How Is Release Time Taught?
Release Time's curriculum is based upon Biblical stories and principles found in the New King James version of the Holy Bible. Children are not only taught Bible literacy using scripture found in the Bible but also taught how to develop a personal relationship with God by using the four basic foundations in a Christian life; how to pray, how to read and understand your Bible, how to share your faith with others and how to fellowship with other Christian believers.
How We Believe Release Time Will Help
Studies done by School Ministries have shown that those students who participate in Release Time programs have shown increases in critical learning skills and have fewer behavioral problems. Their studies have also found that Release Time can reduce the rate of psychological problems such as severe depression, attention deficit and hopelessness.
The Release Time program gives today's youth the hope and the opportunity to transform their lives through accepting and learning about Jesus Christ. The children will be able to grow spiritually in a familiar environment with their fellow classmates and will then be able to return to their homes to share the Good News with their family.
When And Where Is Release Time?
Release Time meets in the Landers Elementary School library. Release Time is held every "minimum day", which is the first and third Wednesday of every month. We meet for one hour, from 9:30 am until 1O.3O am.

How Do I Sign My Children Up?
You may register your child for Release Time by completing the attached permission slip and turning it into the main office at Landers Elementary School.
No child will be allowed to attend Release Time without a current, signed permission slip by a parent or legal guardian. Even if your child has attended Release Time in the past; and/or you have signed a permission slip for the previous school year, it is still necessary to execute a current permission slip for the 2OO6/2OO7 school year.
Release Time welcomes parents and guardians to attend these Bible sessions. We have been known to have a lot of fun with not only Bible instruction but games, crafts, and lots more. So please come out and join in the fun!
