PARSON To PERSON:
Noah was in the ark so not even death could reach him. The floods only lifted him heavenward, & the winds of the storm only helped him on his way. Outside of the ark all was ruin, but inside all was rest & peace. Without Christ we also would perish in the storm, but in Jesus there is perfect safety. Noah was shut in so he did not even desire to come out, & those who are in Christ Jesus are in Him forever. They shall go no more out forever, for God’s eternal faithfulness has shut them in, & infernal malice cannot drag them out. The Prince of Peace shuts & no man opens; & when the Master of the house shall rise up & shut the door, it will be vain for unbelievers to knock, & cry Lord, Lord open unto us, for that same door which shuts in the wise virgins will shut out the foolish for ever.
