Prayer
Chain Ministry
The
prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
James 5:16b
This
is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything
according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears
us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of Him.
1 John 5:14-15
The
Prayer Chain Ministry has been established to serve the body of
Christ at Calvary Chapel Upland by praying for personal requests
and needs. |

What
does the Calvary Chapel Upland Prayer Chain do?
The Calvary Chapel Upland Prayer Chain has prayer chain
servants who receive calls through the day and immediately pray
for the requests and pass them along a "chain" of servants.
There are also silent prayer chain servants, both men and women,
who, along with everyone in the ministry, receive 2 updates a week
listing all requests that have come into Calvary Chapel Upland through
those last few days. Everyone is faithful to pray as God leads. |

What
if I want to join the Calvary Chapel Upland Prayer Chain?
The servants of this ministry are committed to Calvary Chapel
Upland as their home church.
The servants of this ministry have a commitment to pick up the
sheets frequently and pray on their own. The update sheets are
filed at church on Sundays and Wednesdays. The people on the actual
call-through prayer chain, choose a 3-4 hour block of time each
day that they usually can receive request calls.
For
contact information regarding the Prayer Chain Ministry please

My
Creed leads me to think that prayer is efficacious, and surely a
day’s asking God to overrule all events for good is not lost.
Still there is a great feeling that when a man is praying he’s
doing nothing, and this feeling makes us give undue importance to
work, sometimes even to the hurrying over or even to the neglect
of prayer.
. . .The more praying there is in the world the better the world
will be, the mightier the forces against evil everywhere. Prayer,
in one phase of its operation, is a disinfectant and a preventive.
It purifies the air; it destroys the contagion of evil. Prayer is
no fitful, shortlived thing. It is no voice crying unheard and unheeded
in the silence. It is a voice which goes into God’s ear.

in Prayer - E. M. Bounds
