the intersection

in · ter · sec · tion

1: the act or process of intersecting
2: a place or area where two or more things intersect

Normally, when you think of the word “intersection” roads and streets come to mind, and the connecting point where they intersect. But of course there’s more to it than that. As the true definition above indicates, “intersection” denotes location as well as action. Its our desire to see our fellowship be a place where connection or intersection is happening on two particular levels:

First, with God, because we know that He desires to have a relationship with us. Our part is to draw close to Him through worship and study of the Bible, knowing that, as His word promises, we can find Him when we seek him with our whole heart.

Secondly, with others, simply because that is God’s plan for the church. The church is not just for spectators as there is a role for all of us to play. Ministry is not to be reserved for just the “professionals.” The Bible is clear that it is something we all share in. God desires to use us all to glorify Him through contributing and participating in some way.

Our name illustrates what we want our group to be all about - a place where we come to meet with God and with others. And as we do, we’ll discover all that God has for us as individuals and a fellowship.
